Circular economy
Our Circular Economy Statements are developed in line with The London Plan to support planning submissions and sustainability objectives, with a strong focus on practical and measurable outcomes.
Circular Economy Statements demonstrate how projects can reduce material consumption, minimise waste and maximise the reuse and recovery of materials throughout the building lifecycle from pre-refurbishment or demolition through to future adaptation and end-of-life.
The service works particularly effectively alongside our Pre-Refurbishment and Pre-Demolition Audit service, allowing material inventories, reuse opportunities and embodied carbon impacts to be incorporated directly into the circular economy strategy
Our reporting framework provides clients with a clear and practical tool to demonstrate how circular economy principles have been embedded into the design, construction and future operation of a development.
We help project teams create more adaptable, resilient and resource-efficient buildings while supporting evolving sustainability targets, planning policy requirements and low-carbon development objectives.
Embodied carbon / Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
Our Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) service helps project teams understand the embodied carbon impacts associated with building materials, construction and lifecycle performance while identifying practical opportunities for reduction and support sustainability targets.
Using recognised lifecycle assessment methodologies, we assess the environmental impact of projects from material production through to construction, maintenance, replacement and end-of-life. Our assessments provide clear, practical insights to support lower-carbon design decisions and more resource-efficient development.
The service can be delivered as a standalone embodied carbon assessment or integrated into wider sustainability and planning strategies.
It also aligns effectively with BREEAM Mat 01 credit requirements.
